Being the Scientific body of the AIMC, NAUSS co-organizes with KIAST
a workshop on «Utilizing Drones in Security Fields»
In an endeavor to meet Arab security needs
NAUSS Headquarters - Riyadh Naif Arab University for Security Sciences “NAUSS”
co-organized a workshop titled «The Uses of Drones
42 in Security Fields: Opportunities, Challenges, and
Policies», in collaboration with the Korea Institute of
Aviation Safety Technology “KIAST” from 28th to 30th
August 2023, at NAUSS headquarters in Riyadh. The
workshop brought together experts and specialists from
Arab countries, US, Korea, Malaysia, and INTERPOL, as
well as 140 participants from Jordan, the United Arab
Emirates, Bahrain, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Somalia,
Oman, Qatar, Libya, US, South Korea, Malaysia, Spain,
and INTERPOL.
During the opening of the workshop, NAUSS President
Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-Banyan emphasized
the university’s keenness on emerging technologies,
including autonomous systems, particularly drones.
He highlighted that drones are an important tool for
